Reducing our CO2 footprint, downsizing energy consumption and limiting our waste is a core part of our sustainability commitment and initiatives.
In 2020, we reviewed and revised our environmental goals to reflect the longer-term greenhouse gas reduction requirement from the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement sets out a global climate action plan to limit global warming to well below 2°C and is pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C.
With our energy and greenhouse gas targets, we aim to reduce our CO2 emissions intensity to below 50% in 2030 (baseline year 2018) and to become carbon neutral in 2050. In addition, we aim to reduce water consumption per unit of production by 80% in 2030 (baseline year 2005).
|Reduce energy consumption and promote production of climate neutral energy||Greenhouse Gases||Total amount of Scope 1 and Scope 2||Start of SBTI
|15% reduction||50% reduction||Carbon neutral|
|Scope 3||Start of SBTI||5% reduction||20% reduction|
|Renewable Energy Power Ratio||Start of RE100||10%||36%||100%|
|Reduce water consumption||80% reduction|
